Native Carrier covers the telephony providers Kickcall connects to directly — Twilio, Bandwidth, NetSapiens, Asterisk and more being added over time.

Normally, connecting a phone number or extension to an AI agent means setting up a SIP trunk, exchanging technical credentials, and configuring how calls get routed — work that usually takes a phone system expert. With Native Carrier, Kickcall has already built that connection for these providers. All of that setup happens automatically, behind the scenes, the moment you connect. You just pick your provider, choose your number or extension, and your agent is ready to take calls.

What happens behind the scenes

When you connect a Native provider, Kickcall automatically handles the technical work for you:

  • Creating the connection — Kickcall sets up the SIP trunk and connection between your provider and your agent.

  • Handling the credentials — your provider account and Kickcall are linked and authenticated — no manual credentials for you to find or enter.

  • Routing your calls — inbound calls are sent straight to your agent, and your agent can call back out through the same number.

You never see any of this happen — it just works.

Two ways it can connect

Depending on the provider, connecting means one of two things:

  • Get a new number — Kickcall activates a brand-new number for you. Twilio and Bandwidth work this way.

  • Use a number you already have — Kickcall links your agent to a number or extension you already have. NetSapiens & Asterisk can work this way.

Either way, the setup is still fully handled for you — this is just about where the number comes from.

Supported providers

More providers are being added regularly. Each one has its own short setup guide with the exact steps.

Where Native Carrier fits

Kickcall offers three ways to connect a phone number to your agent:

  • Native Carrier — a ready-made connection Kickcall has already built for a specific provider — just pick your number or extension.

  • Call Forwarding — for phone systems without a native or SIP connection. You forward calls from your existing number to a number Kickcall gives you.

  • SIP Connectivity — for carriers or PBXs that support SIP but aren't natively integrated. You connect them yourself, with setup on both sides.
