Overview
Cliniko is a cloud-based practice management and electronic health record (EHR) platform built for allied health professionals and small to mid-sized clinics.
Connecting Cliniko to AI agent to handle front-desk work automatically — answering calls around the clock, finding the right provider, booking and changing appointments, and creating patient records in real time.
Rate limit: 200 API requests per minute per user; use a dedicated API key for the integration to keep this limit separate from other tools using the same Cliniko user.
Integration requirements
The following credentials are required to activate the integration for each Business:
API Key — Generated inside Cliniko by a user allowed to create API keys.
Business ID — Identifier of the Cliniko account being connected.
Region — The region your Cliniko account is hosted in (visible in your Cliniko URL)
Already set up? In some cases the Business has already completed the steps up to Step 1.4. When that is the case, only the API key needs to be generated and copied — the Business shares the Cliniko business URL and the API key with the Agency.
Step 1 — Getting your Credentials
Three credentials are needed to connect the AI agent to Cliniko: API Key, Business ID and Region
1.1 Step to get API key
Log in to the Cliniko portal with a user account that has permission to manage settings.

Enable API Key Creation
Navigate to My Info in your Cliniko account.
Under the API key settings, set “Allow yourself to create and use API keys” to Yes, if it is not already enabled.
Click Update to save your user settings.

Enter your Cliniko password to confirm the changes.

Click on Manage API Keys.

Click Add API Key

Enter a name for the key and Click Create API Key.

Copy the generated key and store it securely.

Important: API key is shown only once. If it is lost, the key must be deleted and a new one created.
1.2 Fetch Cliniko Region and Business ID
Log in to your Cliniko account, navigate to Settings, and under Our clinic, click Business information.

Select Edit information for the required business.

On the Edit business page, locate the Region and Business ID in the browser URL.

Step 2: Configure Cliniko in Kickcall
Once the Cliniko account is ready and the required credentials are available, follow the steps below to connect and configure Cliniko in Kickcall.
2.1 Log in to your KickCall account and navigate to Settings.

2.2 From the left-hand menu, click Integrations

2.3 Click Add connection

2.4 In the Add Integration window, select Cliniko to open the Cliniko configuration form.

2.4 Enter the following information to connect your Cliniko account with KickCall:

API Key: Enter the Cliniko API Key provided for the integration.
Cliniko Region: Enter the Cliniko Region associated with your account.

2.5 After entering all required credentials, click Save to verify the Cliniko connection; once the credentials are successfully verified, a Connection Verified message will appear.

Important: A Connected status confirms the integration is live. If authentication fails, re-check the credentials or contact the Kickcall for help.
2.6 After the connection is verified, click X on the Connection Verified message, then click Edit to open the Configure Cliniko page.

2.7 Under the Configuration section, click Add Configuration to add Providers, or use the Delete icon to remove a provider.

2.8 After adding all required providers, review the configuration details and click Save to complete the Cliniko configuration in KickCall
Cliniko is now connected and configured in Kickcall.
